μProBalance Development Alpha Stage Releases
« on: July 22, 2016, 02:15:45 PM »
μProBalance (aka uProBalance ) is now a functional prototype, but a lot of work remains. When I feel comfortable, I will publicly post a build and let users who dare participate in an early alpha access program. We'll then proceed to beta, then to final. I've been working on this for a long time, and working towards it, so it is coming together very quickly.

μProBalance Home page

Early alpha downloads are open, for those who dare. Remember, this is an unfinished product.

The updater should be functional, which is the only reason I'm allowing any public use at this point (I know I can push an updated/fixed/latest build to you). That said, since it's so early, definitely check back if you don't see any updates for a few days, or restart uProBalanace, which initiates an update check.

I'll be issuing a new alpha today that further refines things, and we'll be to beta in no time, then to final

0.0.0.9:
+ New application icons (thanks to Ed Kiefer!) - still integrating.
+ Fixed updater manual checks (though it still will be silent if no update found). In prior builds, the updater will work if you re-launch µProBalance and wait a few seconds.
+ Added 'Close governor too?' prompt when exiting ProBalance
+ Removed some unnecessary modules from distro
+ Assortment of other fixes and improvements

KNOWN ERRATA AND A FEW ITEMS ON TODO LIST:
- 'ProBalance Insights' may have unpredictable behavior when running along-side Lasso - listing some items, while Process Lasso lists others. It depends on which Governor is running. This is getting resolved in updates to all branches coming soon.
- No negative response to user on manual update check.
- Main control dialog needs created
- Improvements to system tray icons

0.0.1.1:
+ Fixed manual update check issues (again, restart to get a good update check in prior builds) - should be good now, though still don't present a negative response. (will get to that next)
+ Fixed some signing issues
+ Optimized packaging
+ Other misc

NEW PENDING:
- System tray icon enhancements (beyond previous plans)

0.0.1.9:
+ Latest app icons from Ed Kiefer
+ 64-bit installs that had previously been down-graded to 32-bit should self-repair, but if not - it's an alpha, so reinstall (over-top)
+ Fix accidental typo on page where I listed 0.0.1.9
+ Other mods

IMPORTANT:

64-bit users of ProBalance that installed versions 0.0.1.5 or earlier need to uninstall (or delete) the errant 32-bit installation of ProBalance. There may or may not be two listings in the Add/Remove Programs area. You should delete the folder "C:\program files (x86)\Process Lasso", that is where the 32-bit edition resides. This is early alpha, so it's not unreasonable to request that affected users do this 'reset', else you are going to end up with a nonfunctional dual-install. However, apologies for the trouble. I tried to clean it up automatically, I always do in cases like this!

New releases - working on moving to beta.

+ Licensing added
+ Much more (haven't bothered to keep a list of alpha)

Final name is going to be: uProBalance Stand-Alone
